This classroom action research study investigates whether QuillBot AI can help Grade 11 EFL students improve their writing skills, specifically in writing hortatory exposition texts. Conducted over two instructional cycles, the study compares students’ writing performance before and after using QuillBot. Quantitative results show a strong improvement in writing scores (from a mean of 53.55 in the pre-test to 78.90 in the post-test). Qualitative classroom observations reveal increased student engagement, better sentence structure, and fewer grammatical errors. The authors emphasize that QuillBot is most effective when combined with teacher guidance and structured writing instruction, rather than used independently.
